I’ve been sat looking at this this photo for a little while and I’ve been wondering what it was about this scene that grabbed you? I cart my compact camera everywhere so that I can take quick shots of anything that grabs me: fonts and package designs; funky color combinations that really work, but that I never would have thought of; scenes that I see really interesting things in, but others think are mundane. At the end of the day, I get home and I have this digital source book of ideas, reminders and inspiration.
So I’m wondering if you do this too? Did you see the yellow and grey together and think it would make a great color-scheme for a project (it’s one of my current faves btw)? Did you see meaning in the yellow line standing between the road acne on the left and the smooth-skinned road on the right? Or did you just think “Ha. This will mess with their heads!” and post a pic of the first random thing you saw?!
Hi Tammy, like you, I take photos of inspiration wherever and whenever it strikes me. I liked this one because of the palette, the minimalism and textures. Sometimes it also just reminds of a particular day :)
