{"id":1027,"date":"2005-08-25T10:49:43","date_gmt":"2005-08-25T05:49:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/?p=1027"},"modified":"2009-07-28T07:43:53","modified_gmt":"2009-07-28T02:43:53","slug":"movable-type-3-2-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/2005\/08\/movable-type-3-2-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Movable Type 3.2 Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Movable Type 3.2\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/movabletype\/\">Movable Type 3.2<\/a> was released this morning by the team at <a title=\"Six Apart\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/\">Six Apart<\/a>.\u00a0 The new release has a wealth of <a title=\"features\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/movabletype\/features\">features<\/a> designed to make blogging even easier and smarter.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Max\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maxkiesler.com\/\">Max<\/a> and I are running Movable Type on <a title=\"BeingEDU\" href=\"http:\/\/www.beingedu.com\/\">BeingEDU<\/a> and plan to upgrade as soon as we have a few minutes of free time.\u00a0 I\u2019m looking forward to trying out the <a title=\"context-aware search interfac\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/pronet\/weblog\/2005\/07\/search_globally.html\">context-aware search interface<\/a>, <a title=\"flltering spam into a junk folder\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/pronet\/weblog\/2005\/07\/movable_type_3.html\">flltering spam into a junk folder<\/a>, and having a <a title=\"centralized overview\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/pronet\/weblog\/2005\/06\/new_in_movable_.html\">centralized overview<\/a> for all my blogs.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you also take a look at the new smart CSS design templates and libraries of new styles.\u00a0 I\u2019m pleased to say I had a tiny hand in creating three of the color variations used for the new Vicksburg theme, although the true credit for the design and CSS magic goes to Vicksburg\u2019s creator, <a title=\"Walt\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iwalt.com\/\">Walt<\/a>.\u00a0  View the new templates and others at the <a title=\"Style Library Remixer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/movabletype\/styles\/styleremixer.html\">Style Library Remixer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the last month, my company, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emilychang.com\/go\/news\/ideacodes-to-create-wireframes-and-visual-designs-for-six-apart\/\">Ideacodes, has been consulting for Six Apart<\/a> and I\u2019ve had the rare opportunity to sit in the MT area next to some of the people that have built Movable Type, including <a title=\"Jay\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jayallen.org\/journey\/\">Jay<\/a>, <a title=\"Anil\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dashes.com\/anil\/\">Anil<\/a>, <a title=\"Ezra\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ezrakilty.net\/ezlog\/\">Ezra<\/a>, <a title=\"Brad\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bradchoate.com\/\">Brad<\/a>.\u00a0  Aside from the fanfare over the actual product, it\u2019s the dedication and teamwork of the <em>people<\/em> behind the product that have really impressed me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Movable Type 3.2 was released this morning by the team at Six Apart.\u00a0 The new release has a wealth of features designed to make blogging even easier and smarter.
