{"id":148,"date":"2006-02-19T06:11:13","date_gmt":"2006-02-19T01:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/?p=148"},"modified":"2009-08-16T13:25:49","modified_gmt":"2009-08-16T08:25:49","slug":"techcrunch-5-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/2006\/02\/techcrunch-5-party\/","title":{"rendered":"TechCrunch 5 Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mike Arrington&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techcrunch.com\/2006\/01\/18\/naked-conversations-party-at-techcrunch\/\">TechCrunch 5 party<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/seems2shel.typepad.com\/itseemstome\/\">Shel Israel<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/scobleizer.wordpress.com\/2006\/02\/18\/getting-naked-in-silicon-valley\/\">Robert Scoble&#8217;s<\/a> new book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/047174719X\/ref=ase_nakedconversa-20\/103-3704043-0935836?s=books&amp;v=glance&amp;n=283155&amp;tagActionCode=nakedconversa-20\"><em>Naked Conversations<\/em><\/a>, was a big success on Friday night in Atherton, CA.  Some 400 people showed up at Mike&#8217;s house to mingle, hang out, congratulate Shel and Robert, and generally celebrate amidst a great crowd of techies, bloggers, entrepreneurs, tech giants, thought leaders, startups, designers, developers, photographers, and even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/500hats\/101089791\/\">Douglas Engelbart<\/a>, the creator of the mouse.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxkiesler.com\">Max<\/a> and I had a great time seeing friends and familiar faces (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techcrunch.com\">Mike Arrington<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/web2.wsj2.com\/\">Dion Hinchliffe<\/a> and partner, Kate Allen, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.busmonster.com\/\">Chris Smoak<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deborahschultz.com\/\">Deb Schultz<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.napsterization.org\/stories\">Mary Hodder<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/summation.typepad.com\/\">Auren Hoffman<\/a>, Mike Sigal, <a href=\"http:\/\/werbach.com\/blog\/\">Kevin Werbach<\/a>).
