Two web projects related to the U.S. election caught my attention today.<\/p>\n<p>First, the New York Times, <a href=\"https:\/\/doughertys-ravens.com\/dapoxetine-analogs-and-substitutes.htm\">https:\/\/doughertys-ravens.com\/dapoxetine-analogs-and-substitutes.htm<\/a> <a title=\"Design Observer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.designobserver.com\/archives\/031756.html\">Design Observer<\/a> and AIGA teamed up to create an initiative in citizen journalism. The <a title=\"Polling Place photo project\" href=\"http:\/\/pollingplaces.nytimes.com\/\">Polling Place photo project<\/a> accepts photos from any citizen that voted today in 24 states. Or, if you&#8217;re in any of the other states with an upcoming primary, you can definitely continue to submit your photos. Simply go to the <a title=\"NYTimes project site\" href=\"http:\/\/pollingplaces.nytimes.com\/\">NYTimes project site<\/a> and upload your photos. &#8220;In the spirit of public access and broad dissemination, this is an open-source project: all photographs are contributed under a Creative Commons license.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the screenshot of <a title=\"the iPhone photo I just uploaded\" href=\"http:\/\/pollingplaces.nytimes.com\/content.cfm?page=photo_detail&amp;voterID=2164702&amp;photoID=7081454&amp;fromSearch=1\">the iPhone photo I just uploaded<\/a> of our neighborhood polling place &#8211; the fire station on Howard St. in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-591\" title=\"pollingplacesupertuesday-1\" src=\"http:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/pollingplacesupertuesday-1.jpg\" alt=\"pollingplacesupertuesday-1\" width=\"492\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/pollingplacesupertuesday-1.jpg 492w, https:\/\/emilychang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/pollingplacesupertuesday-1-255x228.jpg 255w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 492px) 100vw, 492px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The second project is a partnership between Google, Twitter and Twittervision. <a title=\"Watch live Twitter updates\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/mpl?moduleurl=http:\/\/www.google.com\/mapfiles\/mapplets\/elections\/2008\/primary\/primaries.xml&amp;utm_campaign=en&amp;utm_source=en-ha-na-us-google-mp&amp;utm_term=decision2008\">Watch live Twitter updates<\/a> from around the country related to the primaries and send in your own update.  I&#8217;ve seen more than a few people who twittered they were hooked on this map all day.
